Trauma-Centered Psychotherapy by Briana Shea, MS, LPC
& good to be seen.
It’s good to see you
Hello, my name is Briana Shea (she/ella). I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who specializes in trauma and relationships.
I work with people ages 12 and up to heal from old harms, work through stuck places, break generational cycles of hurt, and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. I am curious about how past wounds and expectations from family, culture, and society have shaped how you see yourself in the world, how you feel in the day-to-day, and how you show up in your relationships. I’d like to help you:
Silence echoes of the past
Cultivate secure and loving relationships
Step out of anxiety, depression, and stuck-ness
Step into self-love
Break cycles of generational hurt
Parent from intention, not inherited pain
Peel away masks of perfection
Remove “responsibility” hero capes
Reauthor stories of shame and blame
Reclaim cultural identity
Grapple with oppressive systems
Take up space
Nested within you
unstacking, unpacking, and cracking open
each layer of you.
As a trauma-centered psychotherapist, I help people untangle the quiet ways trauma lives in the body using an integrative approach that draws from a range of therapeutic modalities. Rooted in attachment-based, psychodynamic, and somatic practices, I work with both the mind and body to help clients deepen self-awareness as they move through the charge of trapped emotions. These old wounds are often the source of anxiety, depression, procrastination, reactivity, repeated heartbreak, inner-critics, and so much more.
If any of these experiences resonate with you, there are likely old wounds still at work. Though it may not seem like it, this is good news; it indicates that there's a deep part of you with a strong desire to heal. This part of you knows that through healing, you will be able to show up just as you would like to, as your true self.
